This Privacy Policy describes how Wholeboard ("we", "us", or "our") handles data in connection with the Wholeboard browser extension and website. Wholeboard is built with a strict privacy-first architecture: all processing occurs locally inside your web browser.

1. Data Collection

Personal Data: Wholeboard does not collect, request, record, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, IP address, account credentials, or payment details.

Browsing Activity: We do not track, log, or store your browsing history, search queries, or general web activity.

Temporary Board Content: When you trigger Wholeboard on an active Pinterest board tab, the extension reads image/video source URLs and basic pin metadata visible on that page. This data is accessed solely to assemble the requested ZIP archive.

2. Data Handling & Use

All media extraction, network requests to fetch board image files, and ZIP archive creation are performed 100% locally within your browser. No board content, media URLs, or user data is ever sent to or processed by external remote servers owned by us or any third party.

3. Data Storage & Retention

No Remote Server Storage: We do not operate remote databases or cloud servers to store user data. Zero user data is transmitted off your computer.

Transient Memory:Downloaded images and zip data are kept temporarily in your browser's active memory strictly while the zip file is being created. Once saved to your local device via your browser's download manager, the memory is cleared.

No Persistent Tracking Cookies: Wholeboard does not set or use persistent tracking cookies, local storage tracking identifiers, or web beacons.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

No Data Selling or Sharing: Because we do not collect user data, we do not sell, rent, trade, monetise, or share personal or sensitive user data with third parties, advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.

No Third-Party Analytics: Wholeboard does not include third-party tracking scripts, advertising networks, or telemetry SDKs.

5. Extension Permissions Justification

Wholeboard requests only the minimal browser permissions required for its core functionality:

• downloads: Allows the extension to save the generated .zip file containing your board media directly to your computer.
• tabs: Used to inspect the URL of the current active tab to verify that you are on a Pinterest board page.
• scripting:Used to inject the extraction script into the active Pinterest tab when you click "download board".
• Host permissions (https://*.pinterest.com/*, https://*.pinimg.com/*):Required to inspect Pinterest board pages and download full-resolution media directly from Pinterest's content delivery networks.

6. Security

All network communication to retrieve pin media occurs directly between your browser and Pinterest servers over secure HTTPS protocols. Your media files remain isolated inside your browser runtime.
